Career Summary

Development and Project Management Specialist with more than 20 years of progressive experience leading and delivering multi-sector development programmes across Bangladesh. Demonstrated expertise in project management, livelihoods and economic inclusion, skills and workforce development, monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL), research, knowledge management, gender equality and social inclusion (GESI), climate resilience, and institutional capacity development. Extensive experience managing complex, donor-funded programmes and working effectively with government institutions, development partners, financial institutions, private-sector actors, and community stakeholders.

Currently serving as Project Coordinator for the World Bank and PKSF-funded Recovery and Advancement of Informal Sector Employment (RAISE) Project and as Case Management Specialist for a World Bank-financed livelihoods programme. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage programme implementation, strengthen case management and monitoring systems, design technical training and capacity-building interventions, oversee research and assessments, and ensure compliance with donor requirements, environmental and social safeguards, and quality standards.

Professional experience spans programmes financed by the World Bank, IFAD, ADB, JICA, DFID/FCDO, the European Union, PKSF, and the Government of Bangladesh, covering youth employment, entrepreneurship development, social protection, agriculture, WASH, climate adaptation, local governance, infrastructure, and institutional strengthening. Recognized for translating policy objectives into practical implementation strategies, strengthening programme performance through evidence-based decision-making, and producing high-quality technical reports, analytical studies, proposals, and knowledge products that inform policy and programme improvement.

Holds an MSS in Economics, a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management for NGO & Development (UK), and is completing an MSS in Entrepreneurship Economics at the Dhaka School of Economics, University of Dhaka. Selected as an Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity (AFSEE) Mid-Career Fellow and awarded admission to the MSc in Inequalities and Social Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Presented research at the 11th World Sustainability Forum in Barcelona and contributed to professional publications on livelihoods, youth employment, and inclusive development.

Combines extensive development practice with entrepreneurial leadership through ventures in fashion and integrated agriculture, providing practical insight into enterprise development, market systems, and sustainable livelihoods. Brings a strategic, results-oriented approach to programme leadership, partnership development, and the design of inclusive solutions that generate measurable social and economic impact.
